Eleven private rooms in the centre of Pacasmayo
All private, all with hot water around the clock and wifi. The hostel takes up two buildings facing each other on Jirón Junín, 130 metres from the beach: the 1905 house, with high ceilings and the original floor, and the new building across the street.
The courtyard is shared with the restaurant, the café and the art gallery, and you sleep on whichever side you like. Both cost the same.

The hostel has eleven rooms spread between the old part and the new one, in the centre of Pacasmayo. For groups there is full board, with breakfast, lunch and dinner of home cooking that changes every day.

The story of the house
Travellers have been arriving here since 1905
As the family tells it, the house was already running as the Gran Hotel Perú in 1905, in the years of the sugar and cotton port. The name is still carved above the door. Óscar's father bought the building in 1940 and the family never moved out.
The entrance hall, the tiled floors and the four-metre ceilings are the original ones. That is why anyone in Pacasmayo knows the building. Around it: the beach 130 metres away, the main square half a block away, and Café Café, Warique and Puerto Escondido on the same pavement.

The house of the old Gran Hotel Perú
This is the historic house, where reception is and where you come in when you arrive. Four-metre ceilings, exposed wood and the original tiled floor. Two rooms have a wooden balcony over the street.
It is the side with the most variety: there are private and shared bathrooms, and it is the only side with the bunk bed room.

New building
The building across the street
It is on the pavement opposite, thirty steps from the courtyard of the old house. Recent construction, larger rooms and big windows. You come in through reception, like everyone else.

Are all the rooms private?
Yes. Every room we offer is private, both in the old part of the house and in the new building.
Do the rooms have a private bathroom?
Some rooms have a private bathroom and some share one. Tell us what you need when you write and we will say what is free on your dates.
How much is a night?
From S/ 30 per person per night, price of September 2026. The exact rate depends on the room and the dates, and is confirmed on WhatsApp.
We are a group, can you take us?
Yes. The hostel takes groups of up to 20 people and can host the whole group, with full board if you want it. Write to us with the dates and the number of people.
Is there wifi?
Yes, free wifi, in the common areas and in the rooms as well.
Is there a kitchen for guests?
Yes, free to use before 8 and after 16. In between, the kitchen works for the hostel restaurant, and then the set lunch is the better deal, from S/ 12, with dishes that change every day.
Is breakfast included?
No. We serve it in the hostel, from 8 to 10, from S/ 12. The set lunch runs from 12 to 15, also from S/ 12, Tuesday to Sunday. Prices of September 2026. You can ask to have breakfast added to your room rate.
